The Learning Commons would like to thank all of the students who submitted poems into the Spring Poetry Contest. So many students wrote great poems that really capture the excitement and enjoyment that spring has to offer. Unfortunately, only three winners could be chosen. Check out their wonderful poems below.

I am from.

I am from mom and dad the best in the world
From sitting at home with my family to a great vacation
The unforgettable memories will always stay

I am from the freedom that makes me proud to an American
I am from my grandmother cooking to relaxing Italian music
I am from the perfect towns of dracut to Burlington

I am from the flashing screens and pushing buttons
That makes me happy to be in the 21st Century
Hours and hours a day

I am from the terrible tragedies that happen to my country
That mold me into the proud person I am today
No matter how many, they will always get better

I am from my baby sister to my older brother that prepare for the real world
Not only them my parents too along with my teachers as well
I start off small and grow and grow as more people help me learn

No matter how bad or good things get
The future will always hold new things for me
I am from new friends to new family

The
Sound of birds
Wafts through the air
On the fresh wind
After a rain and
Delicate buds
Poke up from the ground
Wet with iridecent dew drops.
Lush leaves are
rustled by the dripping
from the tree foliage above.
And then the
Gold brilliance of
Sun assists the gardener
In the
Spring.

The buzzing bees,
The leaves on trees,
Are waking up,
The golden sun,
The flowers in bloom,
I know spring is coming soon,
The grass is green,
The breeze is here,
I know that winter ain’t near,
I can finally believe,
That Spring has sprung,
I can only wait till summers begun.
