All MSMS 6th graders have been taking brief breaks from the usual schedule to attend orientation sessions at the Burlington Public Library. Jenna Cantino, Amanda Hogue-Lavalle and the rest of the library staff give the students a fast-paced, informative orientation. They start with a little welcome talk and then students are introduced to different parts of the library. The staff remind students the parts of the books like the spine and call number.

Students are split up by class and do scavenger hunts, looking for specific items on both the 1st and 2nd floors. They finish up with a computer search using the library catalog. The visit is capped off with overviews on upcoming programs at the library and the ways they can contact the library if they need any help.
