Mrs. Bergeron’s 8B English language arts class has been busy conducting research for the Multicultural Research Project. The assignment requires students to read a novel that focuses on a culture other than the American culture. Students begin the project by selecting a novel that is either be set in a foreign country, or if is set in the United States, focuses on characters who have recently come from another culture. Once the book has been chosen, students also need to gather non-fiction resources so they can learn about various aspects of the culture. For more information about this project, click below:
Mr. Dexter and Mrs. Magliozzi have directed the students to a variety of both print and digital resources to aid in the research. Students can access these resources on their iPads and also at home. Additional resources from the Burlington Public Library give students even more sources of information.
Mark your calendars! There are two awesome Teen programs that are coming up! Mark your calendars!
Burlington’s own Guard Up is donating their time to come to the library and teach us some great foam sword games! Sign up is required as well as a form that can be found on our events calendar.
